During Winter and some early Spring shipments, some of the plant materials in this shipment are DORMANT.
This means that even though they have no green top growth, they will grow from dormant buds when temperatures are right. For many perennials, This 'rest period' is ESSENTIAL to good flowering performance in the upcoming season. During Summer/Winter months shipping might be delayed as we only will be shipping on days that we know it won’t harm the plant(s). Monday through Thursday
Fingers Cactus -Crassula portulacea v. gollum - RARE - 2" Pot
Product Description
CACTUS: Cactus, the common name for a family of desert plants. The plural is cacti or cactuses. Most species bear sharp, needlelike spines, which protect the plants from foraging desert animals. Cacti are famed for their ability to resist drought, which they owe to the fact that moisture from inside the plant evaporates very slowly through the plant's skin. Cacti grow in hundreds of different shapes. The fibrous, juicy stems may be globular, cylindrical, branched, trailing and vinelike, ribbed, grooved, or knob-bearing. Only two species have true leaves. The rest of the 2,000 species are leafless. A very interesting succulent plant with fleshy green leaves and flattened reddish coloured tips which look like suction cups. Grows well in full sun with well drained soil. Water when dry. Very easy to grow. Immediate shipping in 2" pot, similar to first photo.
