During Winter and some early Spring shipments, some of the plant materials in this shipment are DORMANT.
This means that even though they have no green top growth, they will grow from dormant buds when temperatures are right. For many perennials, This 'rest period' is ESSENTIAL to good flowering performance in the upcoming season. During Summer/Winter months shipping might be delayed as we only will be shipping on days that we know it won’t harm the plant(s). Monday through Thursday
Flowering Almond Hedge
Product Description
Small, manageable shrub
Grows 4-5 ft. tall
Can be grown in a container
Flowering shrubs add a burst of color to gardens and landscapes--and the Flowering Almond Hedge is one of the showiest, small shrubs for early spring color. This deciduous shrub's double pink flowers attract butterflies, and are sometimes followed by dark red fruit. Growing 4-5 ft. tall with a 3-4 ft. spread, this small shrub works well when planted in groups or as a hedge. It can even be planted in a container. Once established, the Flowering Almond Hedge will tolerate some drought conditions. It does, however, require good soil drainage. For best results, plant in full sun to partial shade. Zones 4-8.
